Your New Roselands Is Here!

In 2018, we announced a $90 million redevelopment for Roselands to create ‘The New Roselands’ – a new community-focused, culinary destination that will offer greater convenience and a premium food retail experience for the whole community.

Just over one year later, that proposal became reality when we unveiled The Markets, a vibrant true one-stop destination for customers to eat, drink, shop and socialise.

With a rich history of more than 50 years, Roselands enters a new chapter with an outstanding selection of retailers including large supermarkets, Coles, Woolworths, and Aldi, in addition to a wide range of boutique food retailers and specialty stores.

While our major works at Roselands are complete, we will continue to deliver improvements through smaller, more regular projects. You can find updates to these below.

CURRENT UPDATES

Development Update – 1/08/2021

After completing the well-received redevelopment of the Roseland’s ground floor fresh food precinct, we’re now working on the next stage of upgrade works on our journey to create a new community-focused, culinary destination that will offer greater convenience and an improved customer experience for all.

The improvements currently underway are:

  • Upgrades to the multi-deck car park – the process has commenced where we are repainting all levels, adding new signage, and making general repairs. We’ll also be moving mobility parking spots closer to the new lift and adding LED lights to ensure it’s bright at any time of day. We will conduct work level-by-level to reduce the impact on parking and expect to be finished early 2022.
  • Lift upgrades in Centre Court – We have completed the upgrade to two lifts in Centre Court (lifts 11 and 12), now improved efficiency and reliability and minimise any downtime during busy periods. The lift upgrades were conducted between March 2021 to June 2021.
  • Escalator replacements in Centre Court – this process has commenced and like the lifts, we’re also replacing all four Centre Court escalators to improve efficiency and reliability to minimize downtime. Works on the escalators will be completed July to December and during this time, customers may use the escalators alongside Just Cuts and Decjuba as an alternative.

We are working with our suppliers to reduce the impact to our local residents, including parking in specified areas and keeping noise to a minimum, however we appreciate this may still result in inconvenience at certain times and we will continue to act on feedback we receive.

We know these upgrades will help deliver an improved shopping experience for the whole community, and we appreciate your support and understanding as we deliver ‘The New Roselands’.
